The Dew Brothers
Hugh, George, and Henry Dew built a successful agricultural business in DeWalt, Texas starting  around 1900. In 1913 they officially formed a  corporation (at which time they owned almost 4000 acres of land in and around DeWalt). Some of this land would later become Quail Valley. This album shows the brothers and the area during the early 1900's. Pictures donated by Sue Alston.
The Dew House
Dr. Hugh Dew built a farm house in the early 1900's near Oyster Creek, in DeWalt, Texas. They lived in the house for several years, then moved to Houston, while retaining ownership of the property. The house would stay in the family for about 100 years before it was finally moved to make way for a commercial development. This album features various pictures taken of the old house during the years 1910-1930. Pictures donated by Sue Alston
